1NService Gravity Event Pulls It’s Weight

Two day thought sharing event brings clients and providers closer together.

Bellevue, WA:  After 2 days of intense thought-sharing and high level conversations between 1NService CEO’s, their top-clients, and a selection of premier vendors, 150 participants departed from this first Gravity event ready to challenge new opportunities.  This collaborative event gave a new perspective to all involved, what the future of the network will be, and how it will affect their businesses.

This first Gravity event was designed to be an intimate gathering of influential thinkers within the 1NService realm.  The collective brought together individuals from all perspectives of the network community that could share their concepts, and concerns, about where the network is going, and how to bridge the relationship between end-users and providers. If the paradigm is to change direction, these individuals will be at the helm.

John Morency, a Gartner Analyst, was the general facilitator of this round-table discussion.  All of the attendees were broken out into separate groups with each having a homogeneous make-up to facilitate distribution of ideas.  The groups were all posed with the same questions and were encouraged to openly discuss the merits of each.  Seeded into each discussion group were a facilitator and two scribes to record all of the conversations.  Some of the topics included:  Optimizing Infrastructure through Virtualization, How to Better Handle Change Management, Aligning Your IT Organization with Your Lines of Business, How to Better Manage IT Assets and Managing and Controlling and Distributed IT Environments through Automation and Monitoring.

According to Jo Miller, 1NService Director of Partner Relations, “We had high expectations going into this unique event, but, we never realized what a huge success it was going to be.  Already we have plans to bring this event to other parts of North America, so that others who could not attend, can benefit from this wealth of knowledge.” Miller goes on to add,  ”Aside from everyone bringing their intellect to Gravity, we had a lot of fun.  The socialization and feeling of community, was an immense benefit to our guests and our members.  ”The collaborative nature of Gravity provided all the attendees ample opportunities for new business development.  The ability to pair a member or client that had a need, with a partner that had a solution, was immense. ”I was able to engage with providers on a one-to-one basis about their product and how it fits with my organization.,” noted Glenn Clark, Director of Network Services for Salve Regina University. ”I’m looking forward to the white paper results of Gravity.  I would imagine that given the high level of talent here, the recommendations would be very beneficial to our growth.” added Clark.
